Block interval is 1 minute. Starting on December ~20 2020 and every month after that until the end of July 2022 the block rewards will be reduced by a small amount in order to make Bitcoin 2 more scarce and lower the inflation. No further block reward changes after that.
Around the year ~2050, the maximum supply of 21 million BTC2 will be reached. After that the staker only gets the transaction fees. Masternodes could earn extra rewards from another source long before then, such as from the fees of a decentralized in-wallet exchange.
Masternodes currently earn more frequent rewards than a staker per 1000 BTC2, so even though the block reward is smaller, the rewards per day are greater if you run a masternode.
